Nice Red Posted by Hello

Baby gets a new pair of shoes

Still working on the T-bird.I cleaned op the old wheels. Sand blasted, epoxy coated and painted, they look pretty good. I think this is a much nicer red, than what was on it. Red can be expensive,(2qts.base,$254.40 1qt.single stage$83.65 ) but it will look GOOD!!
I have the body lines straightened out,on the rear.the trunk lid fits now. Doors next.

Can of worms

You never know what kind of worms are in a can till you open it. I started carving on this, because there were some bubbles. It was an old repair, braised together. The repair held up well for years, but it was starting to corrode, and gassed up under the bondo. Also there was too much filler(bondo),the "cave & pave"method.I will push the metal out some before I refill it.

Project Tbird

I have a new project,1957 Thunderbird. It is in pretty good shape, for its age. This is NOT a restoration. I am just cleaning it up and painting it. Joe brought it to me with the chrome striped off,so that will save some time. The car was originaly black ,and has been repainted a couple times,so he has picked a color he likes. A very nice red,it should look good.

Cadilac is finished

I finished the Caddie. I think Gordon is happy with it. It looks pretty good for a 35 year old car. I am not making any Ney Years resolutions,so I won't be disapointed at not keeping them.I think I'm fine just as I am,and it took me years to get this way. Joe brought me another project,a 57 T'bird. I'll have Photos start to finish.
